Silica Fabric
EAS provides high quality strength high silica fabric with fabrication grade and welding grade served for 1000℃ width 920mm, 1000mm, 1200mm, 1500mm
Product description
High Silica fabric is charactrized with extremely high temperature service 1000℃ made by 96% amorphous silica continuous fiament. There are two methods production for the silica fiberglass fabric with fabrication grade silica fabric and welding grade silica fabric. Compared with ceramic fabric, high silica fabric has not shots and more clean to handle
Fabrication grade high silica fabric is made by SiO2-Na2O or SiO2-B2O3-Na2O glass chemcial composition system, through textile weave, acid treatment, heat sintered process. It is a stable silica textile production technology.
Welding grade high silica fabric is also a popular silica glass fiber production technology which allow raw material by E glass fabric and no need specialized glass chemical composition system that greatly reduce the initial preparation cost, through acid treatment, heat sintered process. It is a low cost production technology for various silica fiber textiles but not stable for light duty silica textiles. With this technology, there is made associated product middle temperature silica textile that keep 70% SiO2 and long time served for 800℃. The middle temperaature silica fabric is also widely used for many application.

Silica Fabric is a high-performance material made from amorphous silica fibers. It is known for its exceptional heat resistance, flame retardancy, and insulation properties, making it ideal for applications in industries that require protection against extreme temperatures.
One of the key features of Silica Fabric is its outstanding heat resistance. It can withstand continuous exposure to high temperatures up to 1000°C without melting or deforming. This makes it suitable for applications in industries such as aerospace, automotive, and metallurgy, where thermal protection is crucial. Silica Fabric acts as a barrier, preventing heat transfer and protecting sensitive components or surfaces from damage.
Another significant advantage of Silica Fabric is its excellent flame retardancy. It has a high ignition point and does not support combustion, making it highly resistant to flames and sparks. In the event of a fire, Silica Fabric acts as a fire barrier, reducing the spread of flames and heat. This property makes it an ideal choice for applications in fire curtains, welding blankets, and other fire safety products.
Furthermore, Silica Fabric offers exceptional insulation properties. It has low thermal conductivity, meaning it is a poor conductor of heat. This attribute makes it highly effective at insulating against heat transfer. Silica Fabric is commonly used in the construction industry for insulation wraps, lagging, and shields, providing energy efficiency and thermal comfort.
Moreover, Silica Fabric is lightweight and flexible, making it easy to handle and install. Its flexibility allows it to conform to various shapes and surfaces, making it suitable for complex or curved applications. It can be easily cut, sewn, or molded to meet specific design requirements.
Additionally, Silica Fabric is resistant to most chemicals and acids, making it suitable for applications in corrosive environments. It does not degrade or weaken when exposed to these substances, ensuring long-term durability and reliability.
Furthermore, Silica Fabric is non-toxic and safe to handle. It does not release harmful fumes or particles when exposed to high temperatures, making it an ideal choice for applications that require strict safety regulations.
In summary, Silica Fabric is a high-performance material known for its exceptional heat resistance, flame retardancy, and insulation properties. Its applications range from thermal protection in aerospace and automotive industries to fire safety products and insulation solutions in construction. With its outstanding characteristics and ease of use, Silica Fabric continues to be a preferred choice in various industries where protection against extreme temperatures is essential.
